This medium-sized bean is the most widely produced bean in the US.
Pinto from the Spanish word “painted,” identify their spoted beige and brown skin, but they turn a uniform brown when cooked. With solid texture and rich flavor pinto beans are great for Chili, burritos, refried beans, and many dips.
